How Much Do Custom Challenge Coins Cost?
Custom challenge coins run $4.50 to $5.50 per coin at quantities of 100 to 1,000, plus a one-time $250 mold fee that is waived at 300 coins or more. Small-batch tiers start at 50 coins at $6.50, and orders under 50 are priced based on the quantity requested. The table below prices each build: hard enamel, 3D relief, or UV print over 3D. Shipping is free on orders of 100 coins or more; smaller orders ship for a flat $20. Every reorder of an existing design ships with a $0 mold fee.
Every price includes custom artwork, a detailed digital proof with unlimited revisions, a branded insert card, and hand inspection of every coin. Published tiers reflect our standard 2" build. Any size, finish, or quantity can be quoted, and final pricing is confirmed in writing before anything is made. Hard Enamel
Signature finish. Glass-based enamel polished flush with the metal for a smooth, jewelry-grade feel built to last decades.
3D Relief
Deep relief engraving creates dimension you can see and feel. Finish it as bare metal, or add enamel color in the recesses. Raised details give your design weight and presence.
UV Print
Full color printed directly onto the 3D relief. The sculpted metal gives the coin its depth, and the print adds photo detail, gradients and fine type that enamel cannot hold.

Hard enamel is a flat coin with glass-based enamel polished flush with the metal, and carries the lowest mold fee, $175.

From 200 coins every build shares the same per-coin price; only the one-time mold fee differs, and it is waived at 300. Every reorder of an existing design ships with no mold fee.

What is a mold fee and why is it one-time?
The mold is the steel die your design is struck from, and cutting it is the fixed cost of any custom coin. You pay it once: $250 for 3D relief coins, $300 for UV print over 3D, $175 for hard enamel coins, $80 for pins, $70 for PVC patches. It's waived entirely at 300+ coins or pins, and embroidered patches never carry one at any quantity.
Do reorders really have no mold fee?
Yes. Your mold stays on file after your first order, so every reorder of the same design ships with a $0 mold fee and a faster 2 to 3 week turnaround.
What's included in the listed price?
Custom artwork from your sketch or badge, a detailed digital proof with unlimited revisions, a branded insert card, and hand inspection of every piece. There are no artwork or revision charges on top of the tier price.
Is there a minimum order?
No minimum. The coin table starts at 50 coins ($6.50 per coin for the 3D relief build), with per-coin pricing dropping at every tier up to 1,000. Need fewer than 50? Those are priced based on the quantity requested. Small units are welcome here.
Is shipping included?
Shipping within the United States is free on orders of 100 pieces or more. Orders under 100 pieces ship for a flat $20, shown in the calculator and at checkout.
When do I actually pay?
An invoice is sent to begin the design phase. Production doesn't start until you approve your proof, so you see exactly what you're getting before anything is struck.
Can the final price differ from the table?
The tables reflect our standard configurations: 2" coins, 1" pins, 4.5" embroidered patches. Larger sizes, dual-tone plating, edge text, and other add-ons adjust the price, which is why every order gets a written quote by email before anything begins. The price on your quote is the price on your invoice.
