How Much Do Custom Challenge Coins Cost?
Custom challenge coins run $4.50 to $5.50 per coin at quantities of 100 to 1,000, plus a one-time $140 mold fee that is waived at 300 coins or more. Custom pins run $1.40 to $3.10 per pin with a $40 mold fee, and embroidered patches run $2.40 to $4.00 per patch with no mold fee at all. Runs under 100 coins are available at small-batch rates starting at $6.20 per coin. Every reorder of an existing design ships with a $0 mold fee.

What is a mold fee and why is it one-time?
The mold is the steel die your design is struck from, and cutting it is the fixed cost of any custom coin. You pay it once: $140 for standard coins, $200 for 3D designs, $40 for pins. It's waived entirely at 300+ coins and 750+ pins, and embroidered patches never carry one.
Do reorders really have no mold fee?
Yes. Your mold stays on file after your first order, so every reorder of the same design ships with a $0 mold fee and a faster 2 to 3 week turnaround.
What's included in the listed price?
Custom artwork from your sketch or badge, a detailed digital proof with unlimited revisions, a branded insert card, and hand inspection of every piece. There are no artwork or revision charges on top of the tier price.
Is there a minimum order?
No minimum. The coin table starts at 50 coins ($6.50 per coin), with per-coin pricing dropping at every tier up to 1,000. Need fewer than 50? That runs $8.50 per coin plus the standard mold fee. Small units are welcome here.
When do I actually pay?
An invoice is sent to begin the design phase. Production doesn't start until you approve your proof, so you see exactly what you're getting before anything is struck.
Can the final price differ from the table?
The tables reflect our standard configurations: 2" coins, 1" pins, 4.5" embroidered patches. Larger sizes, dual-tone plating, edge text, and other add-ons adjust the price, which is why every order gets a written quote by email before anything begins. The price on your quote is the price on your invoice.
