Class Coin?
An academy class coin is a custom challenge coin made for one graduating class: the class number, agency, and motto in hard enamel, designed once and struck for the whole class. A typical order runs 100 to 500 coins at $4.50 to $5.50 per coin, takes 3 to 4 weeks from artwork to delivery, and can start from nothing more than a badge photo or a sketch.
Class reps order them for graduation day: for classmates, for the family in the stands, and for the cadre. Many classes also sell them at $15 to $20 each to fund the class. In-service is law enforcement owned and builds every coin in premium hard enamel, hand-inspected before it ships.

Our StandardGlass-based enamel fired at high heat and polished flush with the metal lines. A smooth, flat surface with a jewelry-grade feel that resists scratching, fading, and daily wear. We recommend it for class coins because these pieces are kept for decades.
3D Relief
Sculpted MetalDeep relief engraving creates raised metal details with visible depth and shadow. No enamel fill. The design is expressed entirely through sculpted metal. Best for bold insignias, weapons, crests, and high-detail emblems.
Hybrid
Color Meets DimensionCombines enamel color with dimensional metal engraving. Raised details provide structure while enamel sections add color. Strong when your design includes both detailed imagery and colored elements.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a finished design to order academy class coins?
No. You can submit a sketch, a badge photo, a class patch, or just a written description of what you want. Our design team will create a professional design file from whatever you provide. Many of our best police academy and fire academy coins started as a rough idea on paper.
What is the minimum order for academy class coins?
There is no hard minimum. However, because the mold fee is a fixed cost regardless of quantity, very small orders may not be the best value. For most academy classes, we recommend at least 100 coins to get a reasonable per-unit cost. If cost isn't the main concern, we're happy to produce smaller runs.
How long does it take to receive my academy coins?
A typical new order takes 3 to 4 weeks from submission to delivery. This includes design time, your approval of the proof, mold creation, production, quality inspection, and shipping. Reorders of an existing design take 2 to 3 weeks.
Can you match our class badge or patch design?
Yes. We can recreate or adapt existing designs, including badges, patches, and logos, even from old or blurry photos. Our designers rebuild artwork and bring it to production quality. This is especially common with sheriff academy and police academy class coins.
What if I want to make changes after seeing the proof?
We never begin production until you are fully satisfied. Reply to the proof with your requested changes, and we'll revise until it's right. There is no limit on revisions during the design phase.
Can academy class coins be used as a fundraiser?
Yes. Many academy classes use custom coins as a fundraising tool by selling them to family, friends, and department staff at a higher price.
