What Is a Military or Veteran Coin?
A military or veteran challenge coin is a custom coin made for one unit, one crew, or one career: the crest, the dates, and the motto, designed once and struck for everyone who was there. A typical order runs 100 to 500 coins at $4.50 to $5.50 per coin, takes 3 to 4 weeks from approved design to delivery, and can start from a patch, a photo, or a sketch. There is no minimum.
Units order them for retirements, reunions, deployments, and memorials. VFW and American Legion posts sell them to fund the post. Agencies present them to the veterans on their roster on Veterans Day. In-service is law enforcement owned and builds every coin in premium finishes, hand-inspected before it ships.

The mold fee is a one-time charge, waived at 300 coins and up. 3D designs: $200 mold fee. Reorders of the same design carry no mold fee and come at 10% off per coin. The quoted price is normally the final price, unless special modifications are requested. Full breakdown on our pricing page.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a minimum order for military or veteran coins?
No. Our most common order size is 100 coins; however, we can accommodate smaller orders. Orders under 40, including a single coin for one person, are priced by quote. Because the mold fee is a fixed cost, small runs cost more per coin.
Can we use our unit's official insignia?
Yes, when you are authorized to use it. You supply the artwork, we build the coin around it, and you approve a proof before anything is made. We can rebuild a crest from an old patch or a blurry photo. Each requester will receive a private 3D preview link that can be shared internally for design and purchase approval.
How long does it take, and will it make Veterans Day?
3 to 4 weeks from approved design to delivery. For coins in hand before November 11, start your order by October 5. Reorders of an existing design are faster as we already have the mold on file.
Do you make memorial coins?
Yes. A memorial coin is usually the unit's own design with the member's name and dates, produced for the unit and for the family.
What about reorders?
Your mold stays on file. Reorders have no mold fee and are 10% off per coin, so a reunion or a post can reorder year after year.
Can a post use the coin as a fundraiser?
Yes. A $20 coin on a $5 cost pays for the run and funds the post. A numbered limited edition sold to members and supporters at the event is the usual model. See our fundraising page for how it works.
